My name is Abby Stain and I'm glad you're here. I am an HCPC Registered Music Therapist specialising in helping young people who struggle with a range of issues including social, emotional and mental health wellbeing.


I  have been qualified for over 25 years and have worked with hundreds of children, adolescents and adults across educational and specialist settings.

My work focuses on creating opportunities for connection, deepening understanding, supporting development, strengthening resilience and expanding communication beyond words.

I am committed to the ongoing growth and integrity of the music therapy profession and have held national leadership roles within the

British Association for Music Therapy.

My clinical approach is contemporary and integrative, drawing from a range of therapeutic frameworks. It is underpinned by the belief that every person has the capacity for growth when offered safety, consistency and attuned relational support.

Clinical Services

I work flexibly in schools, centres, residential homes, PRUs and specialist units.

Professional clinical supervision provides time for reflective learning and works towards finding effective solutions for emotionally challenging work.

Interactive presentations, workshops and training on transferrable therapeutic music-making skills.
